News, Paper

A love for building brands has seen London-born Taymoor Atighetchi launch The Taba digital news platform, followed by the creation of  Papier, a one of a kind fine stationery brand. Though you could say that he’s got his entrepreneurial hands constantly full, Taymoor’s ideal weekends include indulging in a good balance of food, art and time spent with friends.

Your chill pill

Genmaicha tea – I live by it.

The ultimate weekend

A good weekend should have food, art and friends in equal measure: Lunch at Maltby Street Marketafternoon at White Cube Bermondsey and evening cooking for friends. Sundays (in the winter) should be spent with a dog, newspaper and a fire.

Your favorite place in the world

Florence – the birthplace of Renaissance art and architecture. You can still feel the spiritual and cultural importance of the city as you wonder through its narrow streets.

Pick your poisons

Drink: Aperol Spritz – they take me back to Italy every time and you can’t help but love the neon color.

Food: Mum’s Persian saffron chicken – it’s her own secret recipe. Anyone who has ever tried it will understand. She’s been offered investment on numerous occasions to open a restaurant that ONLY serves it.

On repeat

Song: I Feel It Coming by The Weekend and Daft Punk

Show: Fawlty Towers. I must have watched each episode over 30 times and it still cracks me up.

The most recent thing you added and / or checked off your bucket list

Checked Off: Travelling through Rajasthan, India. One of the most beautiful parts of the world.

Face your fears

Piano recital aged 13, performing in front of 50 parents at school. Nightmare – still haunts me. I’ve never performed publicly since.

#TBT to the first memory that comes to mind when you think of a crazy weekend

The McDonald‘s breakfast menu… most disappointing sight ever.

One person you wish would follow you on social media

David Beckham – such a legend.

Here for a good time, not for a long time – What’s your guilty pleasure?

Shisha – some people say it’s as bas as smoking but it’s a once a month thing.
